Overland Park, KS (November 3, 2022) – DataBank’s South Lake Data Center Campus is KFN’s newest connected data center providing KFN customers with another point to connect with content, Internet, and managed service providers. It provides a range of colocation, cloud, and connectivity solutions with diverse power feeds. There are also plans for an expansion as two new data halls are slated to open mid-2023.
DataBank’s Vice President of Data Center Operations, Ron Driggs, stated that “When companies combine the services of DataBank and KFN, they are provided the ability to securely operate in cloud and colocation requirements. Layer two fiber-based connections, coupled with DataBank’s PCI cloud offering and FISMA-ready data center, provides customers with the best performance and most secure offering in the region.”
This addition will become the 16th data center connected to KFN’s robust network. “KFN is committed to giving network optionality to enterprise and carrier customers across the Midwest. Having a partnership with a data center operator with highly redundant and highly secure facilities like DataBank’s South Lake Campus in Kansas City gives customers the ability to bundle best in class colocation, cloud services and network connectivity. Our fiber network is the perfect complement to DataBank’s IT infrastructure, and we are extremely excited about the value our two companies bring to Kansas City” said Rob Canent, KFN’s Vice-President of Sales and Marketing.
