The Board of Directors of Kansas Fiber Network (KFN) today announced the initiation of a planned search for the company’s next Chief Executive Officer, aligned with KFN’s long-term growth strategy.

Kansas Fiber Network continues to operate with stability and focus under senior leadership, with full board confidence to execute strategy and support customers without disruption.

“KFN enters this next chapter from a position of strength,” said Mark Gailey, Board Chairmen. “The company is performing well, the leadership team is aligned, and we are seeing strong momentum across our wholesale, enterprise, and infrastructure segments. Initiating this CEO search reflects disciplined governance and long-term planning as we position KFN for continued growth.”

KFN is a Midwest-focused fiber infrastructure provider with more than 4,200 route miles across Kansas and neighboring states. Owned by 26 independent broadband companies, KFN delivers reliable, scalable connectivity to enterprise, wholesale, and infrastructure customers through a strategically built regional network and deep local service model.

In 2025, KFN exceeded budget expectations and continued to see increasing demand driven by cloud adoption, AI workloads, and data-intensive applications. Recent investment in high-capacity fiber in the Kansas City metro has further strengthened KFN’s ability to support large enterprise customers, carriers, and data center connectivity across the region.

The new CEO will build on this momentum by strengthening strategic partnerships, advancing commercial growth, and ensuring the company continues to create long-term value for its owners and customers.

The search is being conducted in partnership with CarterBaldwin, a national executive search firm.

Additional details regarding the role and leadership mandate are available in the position prospectus.
