Overland Park, KS, (August 15, 2024) – KFN, a leading technology infrastructure provider, proudly announces its strategic partnership with EnterpriseKC (“EKC”), a 501(c)(3) non-profit think and do tank focused on innovation, enterprise development and high impact, to develop high opportunity jobs in Kansas and Western Missouri. This collaboration is set to redefine technology education in the state of Kansas, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
KFN is excited to join forces with EKC in a transformative initiative aimed at driving technological advancement, fostering innovation, and nurturing the cybersecurity talent pipeline. The partnership aligns with KFN’s commitment to empower communities and contribute to the development of a skilled workforce in the state.
The primary focus of this collaboration is to advance skilled technology labor across Kansas. EnterpriseKC, with the support of KFN, will offer comprehensive, experienced-based technical training and education platforms for K-12, higher education, and adult learning, with an initial emphasis on the cybersecurity cluster. The strategy includes establishing a high performance, highly secure aggregated edge network across the state with one or more nodes placed in every county, each equipped with a 100MB Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) to ensure students in every corner of the region have access to the workforce training platforms.
Under the commercial framework, KFN and KFN member companies will directly contract with EKC for DIA and CoLocation at POPs. The collaboration will leverage KFN’s extensive networks across overlapping counties, offering discounted pricing, rack space, and power at HUB locations. KFN is enthusiastic about supporting local communities and fostering STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education across Kansas.
“As a technology infrastructure provider, KFN is proud to partner with EKC in this groundbreaking initiative. We recognize the significance of developing a skilled workforce to drive technological innovation, and we are committed to supporting EKC’s efforts to make a lasting impact on the future of our communities,” states Jesse Parisoff, KFN’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
